At EC Electric, we spend most of our time looking at wiring and panels, but this May, we’re stepping out from behind the tool belts to support something huge in our town. We’re stoked to announce that we are a Gold Sponsor for the 28th Annual Exeter Elementary PTO Get Fit in May 5K.
As a local business owner who lives here, I really value the fact that Exeter always feels like a tight-knit community. This race is one of those events that proves it.
Why This Race Matters
If you’ve lived in Exeter for a while, you know this 5K is a staple. It’s been running for 28 years, which is pretty incredible. It’s the main way the PTO raises money for our local schools—specifically The Preschool, Main Street School, and Lincoln Street School.
The money goes directly into things that actually matter for the kids: classroom tech, art supplies, and even making sure the playgrounds stay in good shape. It’s not just about a race; it’s about making sure our local teachers and students have what they need to have a great year.
The Game Plan
Whether you’re a serious runner or you’re just there for the post-race snacks and a casual walk with the kids, it’s always a good time. Here’s what you need to know:
- When: Saturday, May 16, 2026.
- Where: Starting and ending at Lincoln Street School.
- The Vibe: High energy, lots of kids, and a great route through historic Exeter.
- The Schedule: Registration starts at 7:00 AM, the Kids’ Fun Runs go off at 8:30 AM, and the main 5K starts at 9:30 AM.
See You There!
I’ll be out there with the team (look for the EC Electric logo on the back of the race shirts). If you see us, definitely come over and say hi. We’re proud to help “power” this event and support the schools that do so much for our kids.
Check out the official registration page here and let’s make this the best turnout yet.
