“Hey Everyone, it’s Pete with East Coast HVAC. We’ve got an exciting announcement as we ring in 2021, we have started a duct cleaning division at East Coast!

We’re specializing in residential duct work, cleaning out dust, debris, pet dander, you name it, from your duct work. Anyone with a duct system that’s 3-5 or 10 or 20 years old that’s never had their duct cleaned, it’s probably a good idea to have that done sooner than later. We’ve done many test runs on residential homes and I’ve got to tell you, the stuff that’s coming out of this duct work is pretty disgusting. There’s a lot of big dust balls, pet fur, and much more. We’ve invested in a great machine and the training and tools to perform a quality service. I’m excited to roll this out to everybody. So please reach out. You can go on our website and get a little more information there and also learn a little more about these great indoor air quality offerings that we have as well. We’ve got Reme Halo air purifiers, humidification systems, upgraded air filters. Lots of ways to improve the indoor air quality in your houses. Reach out to us and let’s get you scheduled for a duct cleaning in the near future! Thanks!”

East Coast HVAC's lead installer, Walter

A Spotlight On Walter House

A few years ago, Walter House made the switch from restaurant working to Lead Installer at East Coast HVAC. Going from restaurant work to the trades was quite the career change, but one that Walter welcomed with opening arms since he had a baby on the way. He wanted a predictable schedule with nights off, to help his wife take care of the house, run errands, and raise a child. Walter admitted the change was scary, but within 90 days, he felt it was totally worth it – By then, he had already seen his potential and developed a close bond with the team at East Coast HVAC.

Walter loves showing up for work because he’s working alongside the wonderful team at East Coast HVAC. He mentions there is a great work culture that allows them to learn from each other. When they’re on a job together, they always work as a team. Walter said if you aren’t learning from each other, you’re the one teaching, or you’re all simply working in harmony. Unlike working in a restaurant, you aren’t waiting on people in the trades. You’re doing your own thing, on your own schedule, and it’s all up to you and your team to succeed.

Peter Robitaille, owner of East Coast HVAC, reflected on Walter’s time with the team and said, “In the two years since joining our team, Walter has enjoyed the regularity of a conventional paycheck, rapid growth within the organization and even performance bonuses. He went from feeling ‘capped’ in his previous career, to feeling excited about learning and with room for professional progression.”

Going from working until 2 a.m to getting home around 5, has given Walter the opportunity to spend time with his family. Although he didn’t have any knowledge of HVAC systems, he was able to quickly learn and work his way up to Lead Installer. Regardless of your career background, or lack of experience with the trades, we welcome you to apply and get in touch with us. Although changing careers can be intimidating as Walter mentioned, it will be worth it in the end, and the HVAC field creates a solid platform for a long-term career plan.
