What Is A Ductless System?
Ductless systems are exactly how they sound: free of complicated ductwork (through which heat and cool air tend to escape). These split systems (also called mini-splits or duct-free systems) usually have one outdoor unit – the condenser – and at least one indoor unit – the evaporator – inside the home. They are connected with insulated refrigerant lines that pump heated or cooled refrigerant directly from the indoor units to the outdoor units and back again.
