Ductless systems are exactly how they sound: Free of complicated ductwork (through which heat and cool air tend to escape). These split systems (also called mini-splits or duct-free systems) usually have one outdoor unit – the condenser – and at least one indoor unit – the evaporator – inside the home. They are connected with insulated refrigerant lines that pump heated or cooled refrigerant directly from the indoor units to the outdoor units and back again. And, since they use electricity for power rather than for the generation of heat, ductless systems have a high-efficiency rate – meaning a lower electricity bill to keep you comfortable.

They were prompt, communicative, thoughtful, detail oriented, respectful and kind. They left their work space clean and tidy at the end of each day. From the sound of the laughs coming from my basement, they really enjoy working with each other! They installed the furnace horizontally, as I had requested, taking care to get it as high off the ground as possible because our basement is prone to flooding. Also, they took great care to have minimal impact on our deck when replacing venting pipes. I truly appreciate these guys and highly recommend East Coast.
